LIFE INSURANCE
To become eligible for CWT benefits, caddies must purchase Life Insurance at a nominal annual premium of only Rs 200/- (arranged by CWT). Additionally, CWT has bought a group insurance cover, assuring Life Insurance cover for the caddies, of Rs.1.3 Lakhs in case of death by natural causes and Rs.1.75 Lakhs for death by accident.
Already, this mandatory pre-cursor for any caddy being eligible for CWT's schemes and initiatives has benefitted over a dozen caddies families, due to the demise of the caddy. A youngster of just 23 succumbed to cancer; others were claimed by accidents which occurred on the way to work.

This covers almost all regular caddies at Delhi Golf Club. Those excluded do not meet criteria.
MEDICAL
CWT EYE AND DENTAL CAMPS:
These Camps are conducted bi-annually mostly. The most recent Camp conducted was on Monday October 30, 2017. We continue to be enormously indebted to Dr. Anjali Mehta for the personal eye care/treatment she administers/oversees and Mr. Amar Singh of Clove Dental respectively for their huge support. CWT bears the full cost of any post-examination treatment, a caddy may require. This years the camps were opened to all staff of the Delhi Golf Club.
EDUCATION
CWT SCHEME FOR SCHOLARSHIPS/FINANCIAL SUPPORT OF SCHOOL GOING CHILDREN:

CWT trustees have felt, for some time, that we need to support any exceptionally bright child/children of caddies, right from his/her primary school days, as well as those achieving creditable/exceptional marks in Secondary School. The scheme has already been implemented since last year & over 50 school going children have been awarded financial support. Additionally exceptionally bright children with a consistent record over the last three years have been provided laptops & substantial financial support. This scheme will now expand substantially from this year

CWT SUPPORT COLLEGE GOING CHILDREN OF ELIGIBLE DELHI GOLF CLUB CADDIES:

Any child/children of the 305 Delhi Golf Club caddies, enrolled at any college for graduate or postgraduate courses, are eligible to receive an annual financial subsidy of Rs. 10,000/-. Over the Last two years CWT distributed several scholarships to eligible college going students and since this Scheme too is very dear to all CWT Trustees and, caddies have also understood this scheme, we expect a substantial increase in fund distribution during the current financial year. It is also our commitment to further improve this scheme, as we go along.
FINANCIAL, BLANKET, CLOTHING & DURABLES DISTRIBUTION
CWT PROVIDE CASH SUPPORT FOR CADDIES OUT OF WORK DUE TO CLUB'S CLOSURE OF THE GOLF COURSE BEFORE MAJOR EVENTS:
During the last Panasonic Open 2017, DGC caddies were provided cash support of Rs. 2000/- flat plus a daily compensation of Rs. 400/- per day for any number of days the caddies worked on assisting the course management in improving the course condition.
This was the first such an initiative introduced in a golf club in India, providing sustenance to caddies and their families. The CWT spent a total of Rs. 8 Lakhs on this initiative. CWT is committed to continue this activity, when necessary; however, Trustees appeal to golf club managements to take cognizance of the fact that course closure is not just an inconvenience to members but life altering for caddies and their families. All should ensure suitable measures to tackle the impact on these individuals.
CWT SCHEME FOR FINANCIAL SUPPORT OF RETIRED CADDIES:
Another initiative instituted by CWT this year and very close to the Trustees hearts, is the scheme to provide financial support to caddies who have worked at Delhi Golf Club for several decades and are now literally on the street. Such eligible caddies will receive an annual financial subsidy of Rs. 15,000/- To-date, seven retired caddies have been covered by this scheme.

BLANKET DISTRIBUTION: Periodically, caddies across the NCR region, Chandigarh, Shimla and Srinagar are provided with blankets and shawls, including shawls for their wives and daughters. This initiative has been supported by individuals including Mr. Sameer Mehra of Essma. Our grateful thanks.

CLOTHING DISTRIBUTION: This takes place annually to all eligible caddies at the Delhi Golf Club. This includes providing t-shirts, trousers, sweaters, sports shoes and winter/rain jackets, etc.
Additionally sweaters are distributed across golf clubs in the NCR region as well as in Chandigarh, Shimla and Srinagar. We extend our grateful thanks to all individuals who contribute and help co-ordinate this far-reaching distribution.
CWT ANNUAL DURABLE DISTRIBUTION SCHEME FOR ELIGIBLE CADDIES:
In 2014-15 the CWT organized, at heavily discounted prices, a HERO Bicycle, an USHA Sewing Machine and an USHA Table Fan, at hugely preferential rates for those caddies eligible for Trust benefits.
In 2015-16, CWT organized, at equally preferential rates, an ELECTROLUX Refrigerator and an USHA Mixer/Grinder (with USHA very generously throwing in a Dry Iron , free of cost). Both items were offered to eligible caddies at vast (40%-50%) discounts on the retail prices. The local delivery cost of every refrigerator, amounting to Rs.700/- in some cases, was also borne by CWT.
In 2016-17 & now, 17-18, caddies have been offered, once again at heavily discounted prices, the following: Livguard Inverter with battery, IBall Laptop and an Electrolux Washing Machine, all at rock bottom prices.
