This year, the 10th edition of the Caddies Welfare Trust Members Charity Golf Tournament was held at the Delhi Golf Club over 26th and 27th March 2024. Almost 500 golfers took part over the two days. We had 69 sponsors for the event and collected over Rs. 52 Lakhs in donations to the Caddies Welfare Trust (CWT). There were a total of 37 trophies distributed and the Lucky Draw sported 39 exciting opportunities from airline tickets to hotel stays and carpets! A special Lucky Draw for the caddies handed over Hero Cycles, Sunshine Gas Stoves and Pigeon Pressure Cookers!

On both days we had a morning tea/coffee and light snacks service followed by drinks and a sumptuous lunch. Every four ball was clicked and a printed copy of the photograph was handed to each player after their round. Almost 150 people attended the Prize Distribution ceremony on the 27th of March evening when high tea was served and everyone had a wonderful time not only meeting each other and celebrating the winners, especially the overall Gross Winner Bikram Singh (who brought in a fabulous score of one under) but getting to know the work that CWT does for the benefit and welfare of caddies and their families. A highlight of the evening was the presence of the children of the caddies who attend the English Language classes. One of the students addressed the gathering in rather impressive English!

The President of Delhi Golf Club, Mr. K.K. Bajoria, the Chairman of CWT, Mr. Kartik Bharat Ram, Captain of DGC Mr. Raj Khanna, and Founding Trustee Maj R.S. Bedi (Retd), addressed those present. Trustee Gaby Juneja conducted the proceedings assisted by other Trustees Guneeta Duggal, Amar Raj Singh, and CWT Manager Devinder Sharma.

CWT is most grateful to Delhi Golf Club for hosting the event and for the invaluable help of the DGC Secretariat, Administration, Golf Operations (especially to the technical & scoring team), House and F&B departments; youngster Zahaan Qureshi; The Lady Captain Mrs. Nimmi Dhir & volunteers from the Ladies Section - who all made the event a fun-filled two days. Special shout to Devika Singh for the 5.15 am starts! Zakir and Pawan Kumar you were awesome!!
