8TH CWT CHARITY MEMBERS GOLF TOURNAMENT 2022

The 8th edition of this popular annual event played over 2 days, witnessed over 400 members heroically facing thunder showers and hot, humid conditions, determined to finish their round.

As this event has provided for over a decade, once again there was yummy LBF fare, flowing Tanqueray cocktails and beverages, the Kingfisher bird was ultra conspicuous, Blue Tokai coffee warmed and cooled all with their fabulous brews and Nirulas Hot Chocolate Fudge was literally the icing on the day! That year, taking the gross winners enclosure a bar higher, Lacoste presented a fantastic Polo T-shirt to several winners; Thai Tourism too handed out gifts to the main winners, taking an already enhanced array of gross and nett prizes, made by Whorra Bros, to another level. On a sad note, with the untimely demise of Rakesh Whorra in 2022, we said goodbye to Whorra Bros. and the exhaustive range of trophies that we've all enjoyed since our event’s inception.

Delhi Golf Club, its Secretariat and Administration were key to the success of the event, pulling out all stops to ensure a wonderful day of golf. Also heartening was that over 400 caddies, bagged a round, earning a daily wage, alongwith snacks and a hot lunch; plus those whose 'player' won a spot prize were given Rs. 100/- for every prize won!

CWT is hugely indebted to all the sponsors who contributed to the over-flowing goody bags, which sent all participants home with a smile. If that was not enough, for those who attended the evening Prize Distribution, a generous list of lucky draw gifts sent many more home delighted. A big thank you to all our sponsors!
