WHO WE ARE
A ‘not for profit’ charitable Trust, CWT was formed in 2011 to assist caddies, pan India, to face the challenges that exist in their everyday, less-privileged lives.
Steered by Chairman Siddharth Shriram, CWT’s Trustees are committed to give back to the game, in a structured and systematic manner, by identifying core issues relevant to this community of individuals, so integral to golf.
CWT’S prime aim is to help caddies achieve an acceptable standard of living by assuring bare essentials such as Life Insurance, Primary and Secondary Healthcare, Education subsidy and merit base rewards, adequate clothing for both the gruelling summer and icy winter and financial assistance for those unable to tend to their duties; retired caddies too receive monetary help. In doing so, it is the Trust’s hope to encourage other young men and women to take up caddying with a sense of pride and dedication.
Income Tax Benefits
All contributions to CWT are exempt under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act. Donations towards CWT activities are eligible for Income Tax 80G benefits.
