IT’S TIME TO CHANGE HOW WE HELP CADDIES

TO HAVE A BETTER QUALITY OF LIFE.

Join our effort today—because they deserve more than just hope for a better tomorrow.

Welcome to the Caddies Welfare Trust

Supporting the well-being of caddies across India.

We endeavour to assist caddies to have the resources they need in their day-to-day lives. CWT showcases exceptional financial accountability, transparency, and responsible use of donor Rupees.

Our initiatives include:

  • Life and Medical Insurance

  • OPD help

  • Summer and Winter Clothing and footwear

  • Blankets

  • Rations and much more...

Our charitable drives contribute to lives of caddies in different states of India.

We believe in putting
CADDIES FIRST,
ALWAYS.

A ‘not for profit’ charitable Trust, CWT was formed in 2011 to assist caddies, pan India, to face the challenges that exist in their everyday, less-privileged lives.

Steered by Chairman Siddharth Shriram, CWT’s Trustees are committed to give back to the game, in a structured and systematic manner, by identifying core issues relevant to this community of individuals, so integral to golf.

CWT’S prime aim is to help caddies achieve an acceptable standard of living by assuring bare essentials such as:

Life Insurance, Primary and Secondary Healthcare, Education subsidy and merit base rewards, adequate clothing for both the gruelling summer and icy winter, financial aid for deceased caddies surviving families, limb replacements, weekend education facilities for caddies’ children including English and Computer classes, and financial assistance for those unable to tend to their duties; retired caddies too receive monetary help. In doing so, it is the Trust’s hope to encourage other young men and women to take up caddying with a sense of pride and dedication.

Other Activities

To become eligible for CWT benefits, caddies must purchase Life Insurance at a nominal annual premium of only Rs 200/- (arranged by CWT).

CWT EYE AND DENTAL CAMPS are conducted bi-annually mostly.

CWT strives to support any exceptionally bright child/children of caddies, right from his/her primary school days

This takes place annually to all eligible caddies at the Delhi Golf Club. This includes providing t-shirts, trousers, sweaters, sports shoes and winter/rain jackets, etc.

CWT strives to provide financial support to the remaining families of the deceased caddies.

CWT provides Medical Insurance for the surgery covered by the Mediclaim Policy and any further financial support for special cases requiring limb or organ replacement for the caddies.

CWT has been providing weekend English classes for caddies' children for many years and has added basic and advanced computer classes since 2024.

Another initiative instituted by CWT this year and very close to theTrusteeshearts, is the scheme to provide financial support to caddies who have worked at Delhi Golf Club for several decades and are now literally on the street.
